Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel
The Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel is Monday, July 16. Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church will be celebrating the Feast Mass on Sunday, July 15 at 12:15 p.m., followed by an outdoor procession with music by the Red Mike Festival Band. Join us for the celebration!

O.L. of Mt. Carmel Flea Market: Vendors Wanted
OLMC is having a Flea Market on Saturday, August 18,
9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Church’s parking lot. Vendors are needed and can reserve a space and table for $35; $25 to reserve a space if you provide your own table. Spaces are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, so reserve early. Vendors may call 973-667-2580 or reserve in person at 120 Prospect Street, Nutley, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. Light refreshments will also be sold. The event is rain or shine; no refunds. All proceeds from space rentals and refreshment sales to benefit O.L. of Mt. Carmel.

Showboat Casino
OLMC Women’s Auxiliary is sponsoring another fun trip to the Showboat Casino in Atlantic City on Wednesday, August 22 The bus will leave the Church parking lot at 9 a.m. The fare is $25, which includes a $25 voucher from the casino. To reserve your seat, call Dottie, (973) 759-3189.

New Energies Update

The task force for New Energies, as well as the three pastors representing the Nutley cluster of Holy Family, Our Lady of Mount Carmel and St. Mary’s, met on Monday, June 18, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel hall. The following proposals and priorities were reviewed: 1) Youth Ministry Committee; 2) Religious Education  Committee and 3) Evangelization Committee. Committees were formed with representatives of each parish to meet over the summer and present recommendations to the entire group at the next meeting which will be held on Monday, September 17, 2012, at Holy Family.


Half-Way to Christmas Wish Tree


St. Lucy Shelter underwear/sock collection, June 23/24 New Energies, comprised of Holy Family, St. Mary’s and O.L. Mt. Carmel, Nutley, are sponsoring a “Half-Way to Christmas Wish Tree” for the benefit of St. Lucy Shelter, Jersey City. The Rosary Society will facilitate the collection and distribution of white socks and underwear for the adult men and women who are residents of the shelter. Collection will take place the week-end of June 23/24 in the vestibule of the Church.
